Arenal volcano Tour
Arenal Volcano is one of the world's most spectacular volcanoes, and one of the ten most actives ones too - a fascinating natural wonder and must-visit destination for many travellers to Costa Rica.
In addition to huge ash columns and eruptions of glowing rock, the volcano occasionally sets offpyroclastic avalanches - a dramatic flow of fast-moving hot gas and rock. Arenal has maintained constant activity since the time it re-awoke, after a span of nearly 400 years, with a huge eruption in 1968.
The Arenal Volcano National Park covers 12,016 hectares. Elevations range from 1000 to 1657 meters (3281 to 5436 feet), and the habitats represented within it are cloud forest, margin/edge, freshwater river, regenerating, tropical rainforest-lowland.

Arenal Volcano Combo 1:
This option takes you on a walking visit to the volcano and the breath-taking La Fortuna waterfall, where after the gentle hike you can enjoy a refreshing swim beneath its cascading water. Your visit fee will help the local not-for-profit association which manages the waterfall to reinvest in the welfare of the area. Then, soak away any troubles in the thermal baths: you can choose from the Eco-termales or from the more grandiose Tabacón Hotsprings. To round off the day and get some souvenirs to remember it by, we will make a shopping stop in La Fortuna village.

Arenal Volcano Combo 2:

This option includes a visit to the volcano and features a 1 km. long SkyTram ride, at times up to 40 meters above the treetops, up to an observation point from where the vista across the far-reaching rainforest, the peaceful lake and the majestic volcano is truly spectacular. Then follows the SkyTrek: 2.8 kms of zip-lines through the forest canopy! An exhilarating experience carried out in complete safety on Austrian equipment of the highest standards. After all that excitement, soak away any tension in the thermal baths and visit La Fortuna village for some souvenir shopping.
