Half day & Full day Deep Sea fishing trips

 world-famed sportfishing || deep sea || offshore || inshore
              fly-fishing || bottom-fishing || also for beginners

The Guanacaste area has also gained world fame for its sportfishing.  As a number one angling destination, the long coast of this province gives the avid fishing enthusiast a number of different locations to choose from, which in turn means that no one region is ever overcrowded or teeming with boats.

Coupled with the excellent weather conditions found here all year round, fishing can be enjoyed all day long.

Although the Guanacaste waters offer excellent fishing all year round, peak seasons are April-August and November-March, while certain species are more prevalent during specific periods. Marlin, sailfish, tuna, wahoo, dorado, billfish and roosterfish are just some of the many fish species that can be found here.

More experienced fishermen can choose between deep sea, offshore, inshore, fly fishing and bottom fishing, but Memo can also cater for the non-experienced, their families and friends.

One of the best places to go fish is at Playa Ocotal, with its small sandy beach.  The nearby Playa Brasilito is also a great place to go fishing, and Playa Flamingo, some 3 km further north, is another good fishing spot close by.  Playa Grande, Playa Hermosa and Playa Potrero are also beatiful, first-rate angling destinations along Guanacaste’s northwestern coast.

For the ardent sports fisherman, a visit to Tamarindo is a must.

To see local Ticos fish, head down south to Playa Nosara, where at Nosara village we can find plenty of native fishermen using age-old angling techniques.

Playa San Miguel just past Punta Islita is another good fishing spot and is worth a visit due to its secluded and isolated beaches away from the more touristy crowds.

Whatever your mood and abilities, Memo will put together and guide you through a fishing day that sets the perfect scene for enjoying the pleasures of the sea and the excitement of a good catch!
